NOTES: For the first time in 41 years, Floyd County will start the season with a new head coach after Winfred Beale retired with a 236-197-4 record and two state runner-up finishes. In steps Tim Cromer who retired as coach to become an athletic director at Christiansburg. He now returns to the sidelines with a pedigree that includes 98 wins, 10 playoff appearances and a state runner-up finish in 2011. Ironically, Cromer's first game is vs. Christiansburg and its new coach Matt Herron.
